Description:
Designing out inequalities allows us to create towns and places that are better for all inhabitants. Everyone, regardless of disability, sociocultural background or personal identity, should be able to enjoy and use the public realm.
Inclusive design increases people’s freedom and improves equality by actively considering the diversity of the communities we are designing for. It is essential in all public spaces and building projects. It helps us create sustainable, futureproofed designs and adapt to rapidly changing demographics and global population trends.
This will be a 30-minute presentation exploring the key principles of inclusive design and examples of good and bad practice, followed by a 30-minute Q&A.
