About us and how we can help

In addition to the support provided by the DCMS, a coalition of agencies can provide additional advice across a number of topics and sectors. The DCMS Partners include:

• Sport England

• Arts Council England

• Historic England

• National Lottery Heritage Fund

• National Lottery Community Fund

• Visit Britain

• British Film Institute

The cultural agencies and their local partners want to help make TIPs as good as they can be and, subject to capacity, are well-placed to support:

• avoidance of replication and competition

• long-term strategic planning for inclusive growth

• identification of case studies of success from elsewhere

• clarification of unique characteristics and assets of towns

• development of  sector capacity and opportunities within the town

• integration of culture, sport and tourism with other investment plans

• identification of opportunities for funding and programme alignment

• realisation of the ambitions in the TIP to increase cultural/heritage/sporting engagement by residents and visitors
